The shining example

Internationally many have thanked Denmark and the Danish people, both at the 25th anniversary and on later occasions for the rescue of the Danish Jews. Gratitude is not over and done with. It continues and has assumed its own continued existence. Posters and medals stream to Denmark with deeply felt gratitude. The dramatic events of October 1943 have inspired films, music and drama. The fishing cutter has become a symbol of the rescue.
